NT'05 Attendance and Registration

At present the NT'05 conference is overbooked. No more registrations can be accepted at this time.

Entry Visa Information

  • Remember to check if you require a visa to enter Sweden. Please arrange your entry visa ahead of time.
  • A letter of invitation for visa application purposes can be issued from the conference secretariat. To receive a formal invitation letter, please contact: nt05@inspiroevent.se
  • Please note that registration including payment is required to get a letter issued.
  • Also note that Swedish authorities require that you book your accommodation in order to issue an entry visa.

Registration is a two-step process:

Please note that all hotel reservations require a deposit covering the first night. After May 13, 2005 we can no longer guarantee availability of rooms.

Delegate fees

Please see below for the registration fees that include the following:

  • Access to all open sessions
  • All congress material, including book of abstracts
  • Lunches
  • Coffee/tea at breaks
  • Welcome Party at Chalmers Conference Centre on 26 June
  • Reception at City Hall Börsen, hosted by the City of Göteborg on 27 June

You may find the web-based Universal Currency Coverter useful to convert fees in Sweden Kronor (SEK) to your own currency.

Tutorial day on 26 June is also included in the registration fee for students, and at an additional cost as a delegate (see below). Students wishing to attend only tutorial session on Sunday will be charged 500/625 SEK (see below).

The conference dinner on 29 June is not included in the registration fee. It must be booked in advance on the registration form, at the discounted rate of 200 SEK. The number of seats may be limited if a large number of delegates attend the congress. Please book well in advance to secure a seat!

*Student registration is possible, a letter by the supervisor/head of the department stating the PhD student status should be attached to the registration form or mailed separately if registration is made online.

**Regulations for Value Added Tax (VAT) Depending on where you come from and how your registration is being paid, you may or may not have to pay the registration fee with the Value Added Tax (VAT). Identify your relevant category and choose the appropriate alternative for you on the registration form:

Incl. VAT (Including VAT):

  • Fees paid by non-taxable companies, institutions and private persons within the EU
  • Fees paid within Sweden

Excl. VAT (Excluding VAT):

  • Fees paid from countries outside the EU
  • Fees paid by companies and other taxable persons within the EU, except Sweden. (To qualify for this category and be exempt from VAT, it is sufficient to provide the VAT Registration number of your University, Institute, or Company on the on-line registration form.)

Accompanying persons

Registration fee is 1625 SEK for accompanying persons. This includes Welcome Party, Reception at City Hall Börsen and the boat trip and Conference dinner. The fee also includes a 2-day Göteborg-pass, which gives free travel on public transport, free admission to attractions and good discounts.

Cancellation

If you cannot attend, your registration is transferable to another member of your department/organisation. Cancellation of registration will be accepted until May 13, 2005, up to which date the total amount will be refunded except for an administrative charge of 500 SEK. Notification of cancellation must be made in writing and sent to the Congress Secretariat. We regret that no refund can be made for any cancellation received after May 13, 2005.
