Location and Directions to IPS14

The 2014 Informal Phosphorene Symposium will take place on the campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. The precise location is the BPS building is 567 Wilson Road, near the corner of Farm Lane, as shown below. The room is 1400 BPS building near the entrance.

How to get there

• Lansing is the capital of Michigan and is served by Lansing Capital City Airport (LAN). Most convenient air connections are offered by Delta airlines via Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) and United Airlines via Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD). Delta also offers non-stop flights between Minneapolis - St. Paul (MSP) and Lansing.
• ORD is about a 5-6 hour drive from Lansing (not recommended). DTW is 90 miles, or a 2-hour drive from Lansing (possible).
• Air connection through Detroit (DTW) is preferred, since you have two other options to reach the conference venue in case of flight delays/cancellations:
  • Rent a car and drive the 90 miles. National Car Rental offers special one-way rentals from Detroit DTW to Lansing using the MSU special rate. Please reserve by phone before going to the ticket counter. Call National at 1-800-227-7368 (1-800-CAR-RENT) and specify MSU contract # 5001514.
  • The Michigan Flyer coach gets you to the center of East Lansing in comfort, augmented by free wi-fi. Discounted taxi transport upon arrival is arranged by the driver during the 2-hour ride.

• If you come by car, park nearby, pick up a valid parking pass at the registration desk, and rush back to your car to affix it. MSU police is fast!
