The article reports the first observation of superconductivity, albeit through proximity effect, in both isolated and bundled carbon nanotubes. This successful observation, contrasting previous unsuccessful attempts to observe superconductivity in carbon nanotubes, is an important reminder that contacts play a crucial role in quantum transport.
