| Tutorial lectures |
Three Tutorials for students and young scientists attending the conference will take place
on Sunday, June 29, starting at 2 p.m.:
-
Tony Heinz (Columbia University, USA)
"Optical and spectroscopic properties of carbon nanotubes"
-
Richard Martel (University of Montréal, Canada)
"Transport properties of carbon nanotubes"
-
Odile Stéphan (University of Orsay, France)
"Analytical Transmission Electron Microscopy and Spectroscopy and
their applications to the study of structural properties of nanotubes"
Each tutorial is allocated 60 minutes, followed by 30 minutes of discussion with the audience.
The tutorials will have a pedagogical and training character, to enable non-specialists and newcomers
to better follow presentations at the conference. The presentations will reflect the state of the art
in the field and outline open questions, which will be answered in the future.
